Dear Friends,
I haven’t written a blog for a while because I wanted it to be upbeat, happy and fun.
But, sometimes life just isn’t.
So here I am with something that promises to be all of the above. I am looking forward to going to the Wizards opening playoff game this Friday night at the Verizon Center. It has been a while for the team but everything points to something great happening that night.
And I want to be there to hear the noise!
Yes, I have discovered that the Wizards and everything that goes with that is in my blood; so is the Caps but not quite the same. We had the Bullets since 1964; the Caps, 1974. The Bullets were our first experience owning a professional sports team and everything that goes with that.
So, I feel that way about the Verizon Center, as well. Going there for me is a great feeling; I get kisses and hugs
from everyone as I walk to the suite. And, do they really miss me?
Anyway, this part of the season promises lots of excitement! The team is on a roll! Winning or losing promises lots of ups and downs and lots of fun! Lots to think about! Sports is like being on a roller coaster ride-highs and lows and never boring! Always hope! If we play well on Friday, the Verizon Center will rock! And I will always be a part of it!
After 46 years, it is definitely in my blood!
